FINAL of the 6th semester project

 

At the beginning of the semester, we were given the project with the name called “factory” which made me thought that there will be a complex of production spaces however the phrase “as a generator of learning” necessitated that I should respond the word of “factory” by considering the act of learning. In other words, I tried to harmonize these two words.

I thought that in order to call a space as a factory, there will be end products that are produced in that space. For creating an analogy between the factory and the act of learning, I thought that I can focus on the concept of “product” so the people who are the actors of learning can be thought as the end products that experience the learning activities. For that reason, as the products in the factories, the people need different spaces with linear connectors in order to experience the different process of the learning activities. 

The proposal contains three different user experience in terms of learning which are separated by the open air void in the site, one of them is about the research process of learning activities. In the program of the project that experience exists with the name of “Heritage Lab” since the site is very close to the industrial heritage of the Eskişehir, Turkey. The other learning experience and its spaces contain the individual and group study rooms which are the daily activities of the students. The last and the main experience is the Learning cells within a volume in reference to the factories nearby the site.
